Discussing on graphene, new two-dimensional materials and nanometer materials, famous scholars and industrialists from China, America, Europe, Korea, Singapore etc. were invited to attend the forum. This forum, around the academy and industrialization, is to discuss the research development and industrialization of graphene, two-dimensional materials and carbon nanomaterials, build up a platform of communication and cooperation for outstanding scientists and entrepreneurs at home and abroad and boost the industrial process of nanomaterials,like, graphene worldwide.
More than 50 world-famous scientists and industrialists were attracted by this forum and delivered speeches, including Professor Andre Geim, Professor Ray H. Baughman from the university of Texas at Dalla, Professor Federico Rosei from INRS-EMT, univ. du Québec etc.
It was known that Shenzhen took new materials into Shenzhen strategic emerging industries to especially cultivate, made related industrial plan and development policy and systematically designed the development of new materials industry. It was investigated that Shenzhen has already trained and introduced over 10 international R&D teams on graphene, built up more than 10 creative carriers related to graphene and fostered 20 enterprises about graphene. Firms, high schools and research institutes have addressed their over 400 SCI thesis, applied for more than 700 patents, got a big progress on prepared graphene powder, graphene composite energy storage materials, graphene heating films, graphene electronic information materials and accumulated a better industrial foundation.
2017 International Forum on Graphene in Shenzhen, as the high-level and professional forum with a great international influence, has continuously hold this forum three times. Many world-influential specialists from graphene academia and industry came together. Their thoughts and intelligence clashed and crashed through the research of graphene, which strongly promoted the communication of scientific research and the development of industry in Shenzhen.
